Flute ensemble and piccolo

hi. what kinda warm-up exercises will be good when practising with an ensemble of ten flautists and one piccolo? please advise. thanks

You can do tone exercises like Moyse & Wye have in their books, perhaps some scales, etc. That's assuming you have to warmup together. Personally, I would let them have a few minutes to take care of any warmups they like to use (or better yet, get them there early so that you don't have to give away rehearsal time), and then go ahead with the music. Everyone has a different warmup routine that they develop over time, so to get the best out of the players, I would recommend letting them do their own thing.
