Effects when busking?

Does any body do this , and how much reverb do you use ?

Honestly, I'm pretty old school and I feel that busking should not be amplified, so no effects.

I was in Ireland earlier this month, and the buskers in Galway were great. All acoustic. Wonderful. In Dublin, it was awful. Every single one of them was trying to out amplify the guy down the block.
