I am looking for a Headjoint which does NOT have great projection to use on my Yamaha 371.
I live in a flat and do not want to be heard down the road ! There must be some around which are not built for the Berlin Phil (!)
I am thinking about the Mancke (silver – with granadilla lip) – or the Chris Able “Oval” head.
Any advice would be appreciated !
Thanks,
Liberace

I had a similar problem with my Pearl. My advice is to try out several headjoints and see what you think. I had a wood head for a while that was great on my Pearl and allowed me to play with a small chamber group. Unfortunately, that headjoint was not a very good match for my current flute. Try several in different materials. You may be surprised at the results.
