I played this at a recital Saturday along with all my flute teacher's students. I am also playing this at Solo/Ensemble this weekend (minus the Cadenza, sadly cause its my teachers and one of my favorite parts, and most of the third page is out.. its too long otherwise
Comments to improve it are appreciated! I am pretty happy with my performance, but I hope to get rid of some of the odd note things in random spots, and few tonging things. Just all those spots I don't normally mess up on, before this weekend. The only spot that has always caused problems is at like 5:22 and that is cut for this weekend so I wont worry about that unless I perform it again after Solo/Ensemble. I also apologize for my pitch in some of it It was SO warm in there, and while on stage I didn't realize that I was a bit sharp for a lot of it
One thing in particular that I want to improve, how can I make the low notes in the runs with the low note 16th slurred up to 3 high 16th ones come out better? This happens at both 2:13 and 6:17 in the video. I have a pretty strong low register usually but I can't ever seem to get those to come out very much. It was actually better here than normal since I worked a little on it the day before..
I'd also really like to get opinions on the Cadenza even though I wont be performing it again unless I do it at church (my mom wants me to.. but I dunno) My teacher said its one of her favorite Cadenza's that she has ever helped a student write All the ideas were mine, but she helped make it lead into the different chords and stuff correctly.
Thanks!!
