Mancke Headjoints ?

Post by liberace »

Hello/

Does anyone here play Mancke Headjoints. I'm particularly interested in their two wooden lip plate models - hopefully for my Yamaha 371.

Any adavice much appreceited.

I don't own one, but I have tried several of the Mancke headjoints including one with the wooden embouchure plate. It definitely had a more "woody" sound to it. Not as much as a full wooden headjoint, but a lot less brilliant that silver or gold and close to the sound of a wood headjoint.
