So I'm wanting to get a wooden headjoint for my piccolo. I hava a Yamaha PC-82 (I think) and it's a wooden body with a silver headjoint. I've started playing in an orchestra and I don't feel that I get the right sound for it from a silver headjoint.
I'm not about to invest in a new piccolo, but I want to look into wooden headjoints. I'm looking for good quality. Where should I look, other than the Internet, and how much should it cost?
Let me also throw in that I tried this piccolo last year: http://www.trevorjames.com/2006/flutes/ ... cital.html and it was the best piccolo I've ever player. Would I be able to buy just that headjoint and have it fit on my piccolo?
