My A flat key is clicking against my flute and I don't know what is wrong. How much will it be to fix bc I'm on a tight budget and I have been to afraid to ask my parents to get my flute re-padded. How much more will it be to fix the key?

Just sounds like a minor issue. If the flute plays ok, all you need done is a cork replaced. Should not cost you much if anything to replace it.

A missing cork is probably the issue. The cork prevents the key from clicking against the tube, and from the key raising too high (and hitting the hinge tube of the back trill keys). This is only a minor problem as Phineas said. If the flute plays well, I wouldn't worry about it that much. It should be cheap to have fixed.

If you have superglue and some felt on hand, plus very very steady hands, you glue a small piece of felt to the bottom of the A-flat key where it touches the main body of the flute. But if you don't feel extremely comfortable with doing this, then it's probably best to take your flute to a professional technician. Like fluteguy18 said, it shouldn't be expensive to get it fixed.

I don't recommend super glue on a flute.

If your pad is missing I would definately get it replaced as it shouldn't be too expensive (especially if you can get it done locally). Is the pad still fixed properly? It may be an issue of cleaning the pad so it stops 'clicking'!
