Searching for Advanced/Intermediate Church Music

Post by savingsherry »

I am playing at my church next month and I would really like to find something that isn't labeled "easy." I would prefer Contemporary Christian, but anything will do. If you know of anything, please let me know! Thanks!

yes, there's a great book for flute and piano, as well as accompaniment cd called "flute stylings" arranged by Joel Raney and published by Hope Publishing Company. I HIGHLY reccomend it, it is really some of the best arranging I have ever read. The songs are: As the deer, He is Exalted/ Great is the Lord, Lamb of God, How Majestic is Your Name, Mary, Did You Know?, On Eagle's Wings, Seek Ye First, and You Are My All in All.

They are pretty high level, they soar in the high register a lot, even going up to a high C sharp a couple times here and there. They would be good for what you described you were looking for. I really recommend buying this for many uses in church services, I have used them many many times. =)
