Pearl 795 Coda versus Burkart Resona

I'm on a quest for a new flute!

I will be receiving a Miyazawa 202 with three different head joints, a Powell Signature and a Haynes Q3.

I've tried the Pearl 795 Coda and it is very nice.

Has anyone tried or know about the Resona? Since it is in the same price range as the Pearl 795 Coda, I was curious in knowing what it is like in comparison.

Is it worth having it shipped out for a trial after trying the others?

While I personally am in the market for a Burkart Elite or equivalent level flute, I also tried the Resona while visiting the Burkart factory in Shirley, MA. The Resona seemed to be a very solid instrument if you are in the market for that price point.

Powell Sonare might be closer to the Resona than Powell Signature. But I haven't tried a Sonare or Signature myself to give any ideas of relative quality. Keep in mind that both Sonare and Resona are silver plated mechanisms while Signature is fully silver.

Today I tried an early prototype of the Resona at their factory. Apparently they decided not to sell this particular prototype model because it did not meet their quality expectations. Even despite some problems with this prototype, I was surprised that it was still an outstanding flute, better than the step-up Pearl I played from high school. If this is a flute they rejected the real production Resonas must be excellent.
