Our band director told us today that our mouth pieces were
starting to get gross and smell so as a result on thursday our band is going to
clean our instruments! It really isn''t a big deal for the wood winds and
especially flutes because...since we have pads on our instruments we can''t
give them a TRUE bath. The brass have it lucky because they can wash their
instruments out totally with water. Either way I think it''s going to be
fun!

Like a said, we couldn't put any woodwind instruments in
water because of the pads. If the pads got wet they would mold and not be useful
in cover holes.
