Altus 807, Much Loved

Post by hitchens81 »

I'm looking to sell my Altus 807, with much regret but am looking to upgrade and need the cash!

Cosmetically I'm afraid it's not a particularly pretty flute - the silver plating has eroded slightly in places, and the lip-plate is a little stained. At present my repairer has put extra cork patches on as I have metal allergies, but these can easily be removed if desired.

It has, however, been very well maintained - regular services with an expert repairer, and the mechanism is like new. It has a very strong sound particularly in the low register. In fact I was once told in a masterclass with a famous flautist (who shall remain unnamed!) that the flute 'has soul'!?

It's silver-plated, with a solid lip plate and riser, open-holed, with the split E mechanism, offset G, and C footjoint.

I'm selling it for £600 / $950, which is much under the going rate for these flutes, but reflects the fact it's not as beautiful as it once was! Am happy to provide pictures if required. I am in the UK, but happy to cover shipping costs if needed.
