Vintage Artley flute pre 10000 serial #

I have an old Artley flute with serial # 2431. However when I go to the Artley serial number site the numbers start at 10000.
does any body have any clues?

Hi, I just saw this post and I am also in possession of a vintage artley flute. Mine has the word 'Dynatone' on it and it only has 2 pieces. The serial number is a 4 digit number. I have absolutely NO information about this flute, and it's driving me crazy!!! If you would have any info, i'd appreciate it sooo much!
