Takumi FLute T-450

Post by cadence »

Hi. I am looking in to selling my 1983 Takumi flute-silver, open holed, b foot. In great condition and back in 1983 my parents paid $3K for the flute. I am being told that it is not true silver and that it is only worth $500-$1,000. This seems off to me. Does anyone have any information or knowledge of this flute and its value? Many thanks, Gigi

This was a intermediate flute so the price seems fair . I have a Geimeinhardt 3 I got in 1999 in great condition that I paid 2200 and can only fetch 500 . Doesn't seem fair right ? Mine is made of Sterling Silver through out except for silver plated keys

Doug
can I see some pics of your flute ?

Wow. I am in touch with a professional now about the flute to see what he has to say. If I remember correctly my flute was also hand made. It is not worth it to me to sell it if it is only worth $500. I will just keep it. Thank you for your reply.
