Has anyone else ever played this piece?? My high school wind ensemble is attempting it. I personally think our director is crazy.

My high school tried it my senior year, and was fairly successful. We ended up performing part of it in a quazi medly of Fantasia 2000.

We're playing in Symphony Orchestra... It's pretty easy... or we just have an easy version of it...

my director said we don't have the watered down version..and certain parts of it are crazy hard

I played the picc on Sorcerer's Apprentice with an orchestra in my undergrad. It's a great piece, but that little notey section at the top of the last page made me want to tear my hair out!

I've heard this piece with a symphony orchestra and it was fantastic. I hope you have fun with it!
