When I play slow songs the tones sound so gross!(I can't do
vibrato yet so it sounds even grosser) Does anyone have any advice as how to fix
it? Or is it normal?

Hi. I often play slow pieces without vibrato just to see
how my tone is sounding, and I have to let you know, vibrato won't cover bad
tone. So just play your long notes and listen until you are satisfied then try
to add vibrato. I have to admit slow pieces do sound great with vibrato,
providing the tone is good too. [8)]

Thanks a bunch! My teacher said I'm ready to start vibrato
so I'm excited about that.
