I don't know what level your on...(i'm in 8th grade playing intermediate) but most of mine are in the belwin master solos books. hope you have a lot to keep you playing new songs!

Most of these songs I played in my honor band.
The Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of the Rings was a very good piece to play. Its ok when you play it by yourself but when you play it in a full band, it sounds really good. If I knew how to, I would get the recording of it on here. It has a nice round of solos. The way my band director wanted us to play it was two solos for the flute, three solos for the clarinet, and one solo for the trumpet.
Pachelbels Canon for Concert Band. What can I say, awesome piece. One of my favorites.
Flurry for Winds and Percussion. Somewhat easy, somewhat hard. After listening to the recordings, there are a lot of rounds that occur. What I like most is 3 different parts in the flute section. 1st Flutes would play D, E, F, D on 3rd octave. 2nd Flutes would play Bb, C, D, C, Bb on 3rd octave and 2 piccolos also playing 1st flute.

Yeah that show was *~AWESOME~*!!! Anyway I like pieces by David Holsinger. I played two in honors band this year: Prairie Dances and Von Grrrhart's 613th Regimental March. Von Grrrhart is pretty easy, and depending on your level, Prairie Dances may be, but for being in 7th grade, it was pretty hard at first. They are arrangments for full bands, but sound pretty good even if you're just playing the flute part. If you want to hear Prairie Dances, go to jwpepper.com, search for Title: Prairie Dances and composer: David Holsinger. When it comes up click on Real Audio. Fortunately, the flute has so much great repertoire attached to it. But that also makes it difficult to pick out an absolute favorite. I like all the pieces mentioned here and will add Demersseman 6th Solo de Concert; very fun to play even without accompaniment. I also often choose to play through some, or even all, of the Telemann Fantasies (for flute alone) when looking for just nice music to enjoy. The Bach Partita is nice for that as well.
