New flute brands - for me

I had a wonderful opportunity yesterday, that led me to a flute brand that I had not played. A friend and I went to Cincinnati Fluteworks to try and find her a new flute. While there, we played several flutes and the one that stuck out to us a AWESOME was a Mateki. I had heard of Mateki, but had never played one.

Has anyone here ever played them?

Hi, what did you like about the mateki flute? I will be in the flute markit next summer so any information you have would help. What flute do you play? Why did you chose that brand?

I have never played one, but have heard wonders about the Mateki flutes. Must be good...

It's been a long time since I have had my hands on a Mateki and I have heard very little about them since my post (2005). I am not even sure where to get one now.
