What school?

Post by juneroses »

You know, none of us know where anyone is from on this forum. So then, high schoolers should post the school they flute for and the state naturally and what ensembles they participate in.

I'll start.

Suzanne
Randolph High School, New Jersey
Marching Band, Wind Ensemble (5th chair)

Is it really safe for students to post what schools they attend?

I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm at an all girls high school in Northern Ontario in the senior band and in senior strings. Other than that I'm in wind ensemble at Cambrian college and No Strings Attached community band.

Er, is marching band an US thing? The only one I've seen here doesn't accept woodwinds.

Oh cool Canada! If they don't accept woodwinds it's probably a drum corp. which is only brass and percussion. *tear* Actually I saw a video of a Canadian Drum Corp. one time, they were cool.

I just put this up. because maybe we could find out if there's anyone on here who like is in a school in a similar state with them so like maybe they can find out if their school compete or whatever. so yeah, that's what i was thinking. i mean - we could be chatting with our neighbors for all we know!

I go to a high school in Oregon. I am in the concert band for freshmans and sophmores- because I am a freshman. I am 4th chair out of 13 flutes. Also, we play at the football games as a pep band, do the whole half time shows with formations and everything as well as marching in teh parades.

I play in Valley View High School marching and concert band in PA.
I am also in our school's flute choir on 2nd flute. (We are playing 12th street Ragtime with 4 parts! it's really neat)
