Im 16 (year 11) and have been playing for 7 years now. i am the best player at my school because no one takes it seriously......... even though im not that good!

I'm 28, a mom of a 2 year old, a music teacher in a private school and a private flute instructor. I do flute recordings in several studios around Nasvhille and perform in the Nashville Praise Symphony regularly as well as in church orchestra...keep playing no matter what age or where you are... find the thing you love to do in life and...DO IT!!!

I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. This is my sixth year playing flute and my second playing piccolo. I also play piano which I have been playing for nine years. As far as my level, I guess I'm pretty good. I'm in my school's wind ensemble. We have two bands: a symphonic band and a wind ensemble. The W.E. is the better one, so that's pretty cool. Sorry, I'm not trying to brag or something, I'm just trying to give you an idea of my level. Anyway, I've said too much.

I'm just a nerd who loves band!

I'm in 8th grade; 13 years old. Well, I've played since 4th grade so when I was 9 years old I think. my flute is falling apart b/c it's sooooo old and I've been marching with it in bad bad bad weather. I'll trade flutes with anybody!
My flute's a stupid open-holed crap that has "click click click noises" And I absolutely HATE those noises.

The fact that you've been marching with it in bad whether probably has a lot more to do with it falling apart than the age does. Any good tech should be able to eliminate those clicking sounds for you, though.

Yeah, a good tech can fix that. And as for the thread......... I am 18, and I have been playing flute for about 10 or 11 years (it depends which flute you count..... simple system or concert flute). I have been playing piccolo for about 5-6 years, and harp for 3.5 years.

I tried to play the piccolo once (it was my friend's) but I could barely play a note!

Yes I do. It is actually really fun, and a lot like the piano (which I am learning and like quite a bit). As of right now, with my university's Symphonic band, for the next two months I am half flutist and half harpist (some songs I play flute, some I play harp). I am really excited!

I don't know which chair I got...yet.

But I may be around 1st-3rd chair. 8th graders always get a privelage.

My chair tests are in about two weeks.
