Quantz Concerto in G+

Post by ava »

Help!
I am playing the Quantz Concerto in G+, but neither I nor my teacher like the cadenzas in the International (Rampal) Edition or the Schirmer Editions. I know that there are many more editions out there, anyone know of one with a beautiful yet easyish cadenza?

Thanks

I don't know much about playing cadenza's on flute, but I know that at least in vocal music if I don't like the one that's written in I just play with it for a while and make up one that sounds beautiful to me, then run it by my professor.

Just a thought, though I'm sure you'll get some better advice as other people log in and reply to this.

I too like to make up my own, especially for this particular piece. I lloked for a year without finding one I liked completely.
