Is there any easier way
So in Jericho fifteen measures from the end, the second flute have dotted eighth note A3 down to sixteenth note F3. My stand partner and I do have to play these instead of A2 to F2, and I'm having an impossible time getting my fingers to move on the standard fingerings without feeling like my flute is going to jump out of my hands. Is there any easier way? Please help.

Check out this site:

Not all the fingerings 'sound' great...some create a fuzzy tone or bad intonation...but put in the spec's of your flute (split e, b foot, c foot, etc) and ask for a note...usually you get SEVERAL for the higher notes. Print them off and then try a bunch of each note...see if you can find a better fingering combination. This is a really cool site that I stumbled upon in college...from what I understand it is a physics department that did a bunch of studies to find all the fingerings that work for each pitch. Pretty neat...I haven't found a fingering chart that complete yet...and I have two books of fingerings
