Yay! A new flute!
Yay! Finally a new flute! I bought a Yamaha 584H and I'm really really really satisfied. It's a /great/ flute...the headjoint and everything. It feels and sounds so different from my Armstrong 103. Now, I know some of you probably have more advanced flutes and such...But I just couldn't help but brag about my new flute! Yay! I'm hoping I can keep this flute during my high school and college years.

Congrats!
That is a good instrument [I do like yamahas quite a lot afterall, because the 500-700 series yamahas were in my top 5 brand/model choice when I upgraded to handmade flutes]. It will most definately last you a VERY long time [given you dont abuse it]. Last year, a flutist from our studio graduated with a Music Education degree, and that is the same kind of flute she played. So, it will/ can definately get you through college. You might want to upgrade headjoints maybe [that is what she did], but the Yamaha you have is a wonderful instrument and will bring you many years of happiness.
I agree with flutepicc. Try to post pics if you can!
Enjoy your new baby!
