What about flute playing or music is most difficult for you?

For me its mainly controlling my vibrato. Also, trilling C-D still doesn't sound too good.

For your vibrato, listen to recordings of other players and try to emulate their sound. It just takes a while to get it going smoothly.

For the C-D trill, are you using the trill key?

By far PEOPLE are my biggest pain. Anything else can be overcome with practice!

Are you sure you are using the proper fingering?

Low octave = trill right pinky
Middle octave = trill 1
High octave = trill 2

Tension has always been my biggest issue, as it affects my breathing and finger technique, among other things.

Tension is also my biggest issue... and impatience. I sometimes get too impatient and try to rush things, resulting in a bigger mess than when I started. I know that right now I am doing nitty gritty meticulous technique cleaning on the Chaminade for a Michel Debost masterclass I am doing in about 2 weeks, and it is killing me! :shock: :roll:
