Does anyone have any suggestions on a good wood head joint?

Howel Roberts makes great headjoints. I spoke to him about making me a custom one a few years back. super nice guy!

I have also tried a Yamaha (I believe it was) that I liked.

If you would be interested in a hybrid, you might check out Mancke headjoints. They make headjoints with silver or gold tubes with wood lip plates.
