For college autitions is it expected that you do your arpeggios 1-3-5 or 1-3-5-7. I've never had to do arpeggios at an audition, and in my lessons from different teachers I have worked on them both ways. I would hate to go in and play it one way, and for it to be wanted another way. On the website it doesnt specify which way...
Does it matter? Or am i just worring for no reason... I know there is a good chance they wolnt even ask for it with the limited time you get durring college auditions, but i want to be prepaired on all ends.
What ways do you guys work on/learn/ perform arpeggios ?

to reply to nasxxx- for example if i was doing c major, 1-3-5 version, i'd start on low c and do c,e,g,c,e,g,c,e,g,high c, and back down... and 1-3-5-7 would be c,e,g,b,c,e,g,b,c,e,g,b,high c, and back down...
1-3-5-7 is always awquard for me sence the 7th scale note is so close to the root it kind of makes the arpeggio seem weird. i understand the importance of it, but it still seems weird when you play it.
and i dont have that scale book... too bad for me... oh well...
and to fluteguy18- i have heard of doing scales with different articulations (slured, tounged, slur 2 tongue 2) but i have never heard of different articulations for arpeggios... are there more ways to do arpeggios besides doing them all slured or all tongued or are those the 2 ways?

Basically for articulation variations, the sky's the limit. Depending on what I am playing and how they are grouped [beamed] together, I do different articulations. And it sometimes yields interesting results to Articulate against the beat. [ practicing them slurred, but start the slur on the upbeat]. It definitely makes you think about inner phrasing.
