first of all, thanks otter for sharing your research..
and than to fluttie girl. i never said that extended tehniques(also i know to use them, but i wanted to have some BOOKS, to improve them, and have some more multiphonics, bamboo tones,ect..) have something to do with preparing flutes, but im also interested in that part. but thanks anyway for your post

i bought for now robert dicks book, and one of Wil Ofermans- i was on his flute workshop, he has really a great book, and 12 etudes in there.. there are not so many multiphonics, bamboo tones notated as in robert dicks book, but its ok.
preparing flutes does exist...
and @flute guy, that what you have heard, i think you have seen it in the internet, i found this too
also Piere Yves Artaud, one of the best flautits today, has written in his book "The Flute" something about it, but there were just a few lines. and not enough detailed, that i could leran enough from that.
so i think, that this is enough to say, so you can believe me that something like prepared flute does exist
