Free isn't always good or safe !

Well my girl told me because of the downturn in the economy I have to sell some of my Flutes. Ok so some of them are just ok . So I listed my 1977
Armstrong Model 90 Sterling Silver Plateau Flute on UsedFlutes.com. Well going on two weeks now I am getting offers scam after scam but this one is the best LOL I am not making this up

Thanks for verifying the address correctness.The payment would have been issued today but i had to bring to your notice that the shipping funds shall be included to the $425.The amount which shall be included is $3200.The sum total on the check will be $4700.

All i need you i do is cash the check,deduct your money and send the remainder to the shippers information which i shall forward to you soon.
Without the remaining shipping funds sent to the shipper,the pick up activity cant be scheduled.

I need to head from you if you could be trusted to wire the remainder through Western Union.I shall give you the info as soon as you cash the funds.

LMAO.....i'm guessing you would be sending the money to somewhere in Africa! That's been going on for a while there now! So blatant...I can't believe there are actually people out there that fall for it! Thanks for posting...that's too funny!

This is totally unrelated to scams like the one described, but years ago, I used to get a lot of telephone calls and a few were trying to solicit business and they were obviously not on the up-and-up. Whenever I got a call from one of these less than reputable "businesses", I started asking the caller for their credit card number. I explained to them that my time was valuable and if they wanted to talk to me, I had to charge them $4.99 a minute. Usually, they'd just hang up or say that they could not do that, but I actually had a couple of real winners get very confused and put me on hold to go ask their boss for his/her credit card number so that they could make their pitch to me!!!!

Somehow, I always felt just a little bit better after that...

That guy's legit. He bought my Yamaha last year, listed it as $1000 and he paid $1337. He even gave me and my family a free trip to Disney World.

Lol. These are funny.

Another thing that I find hilarious is how you will have the same flute listed on Ebay over and over. But, if you check it's location you will realize that it will be in Texas one week, New York the next, and it will eventually end up in China.
