wow that is an incredible list of pieces, the only problem is there is a lack of representation from all the major periods, but when i think about the pieces more i realize that there really is a lot of contrast between these pieces
bozza is a french, impressionistic piece while prokofiev is considered by many to be the warhorse of the 20th century flute Solo literature and is Russian and also i believe is actually considered very late romantic music so this makes it very different from the bozza image martin is quite different also, being a swiss piece with some mixed meter and considered definitely a 20th century staple piece
there could be quite a bit of contrast here even though these pieces do not have the normal baroque, contemporary, romantic, impress., 20th cent. outline...
i would be very interested to hear from some other people on this forum about their thoughts on this since these pieces are so different and yet do not represent a baroque period or standard middle of the romantic period, etc.
BTW, livinlife63; what movement of the Prok. will you play? I played the 1st movement for my auditions this year and am working on the rest of the Sonata now... I was just wondering. =)[/i]

oh wow, that all seems to prove very true,
hmm i guess i have more thinking to do? but i would love some more opinions!
as of right now im not sure, ive ruled out movement 2, but i love the rest of the three and have done all of them. I love the first movement, thats what first drew me to this piece but the others are pretty incredible as well.
