Sankyo footjoint
Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has, or knows where I might be able to find, a solid silver Sankyo B-foot footjoint to go with my Silver Sonic flute. I have found a few miscellaneous C as well as B footjoints on ebay, but they are typically for Gemeinhardts, Jupiters, etc. So, if anyone knows where I might be able to find a silver Sankyo B footjoint with y-arms, please let me know. I would certainly appreciate it! Thanks!

Thanks...I emailed them directly and was told they can custom make a footjoint for me, but they will need the body of my flute while they make it. And I was told the process would take 3-4 months, so I'm hoping that I can find a used one somewhere so I won't have to be without a flute for that long.... Hopefully something will turn up!

The majority of the time during that process would be the fact that you would have to ship your flute internationally. Sankyo would probably already have a footjoint ready, and would just need to fit it to your flute. That's how it was when I needed a key replaced on my Miyazawa. I sent it out, and I got it back 6 weeks later. A large part of the time was spent in international postal services.
You could just try ordering a footjoint of the same model that you have (except as a B foot), then send your flute in for fitting. That way it wouldn't have to sit in the factory while the footjoint is being made. You could also just try giving you the serial number. They should have record of your flute and it's specs, and it shouldn't be too difficult to craft a footjoint to match without the original instrument there. The only reason I could see with your flute being in the factory all that time would be if they were creating a foot to match a design that they stopped making. That would infer that a different keycup/ribbing/ring design has happened since you purchased your flute.
