How does everyone feel about tone , intonation, etc of
a split E versus having a "donut" placed? I know a donut costs a lot less.
Thanks.

Split E vs donut
donuts slightly flattens the note A split E doesn't
change the pitch of anything [:0]

sorry i didn't answer your question. [:(] i think it
depends on your budget. if you are planning on getting a good flute for long
term purposes, i say you should get split E. if you are using the flute for a
long time, i think you would regret not spending an extra couple of hundred;
you'd have to play with a flatter A until you get another flute. but if you are
getting a "step-up" or intermediate flute, which you will probably use for a
shorter period of time, then you should get a donut, (there's no point in
getting a split E for a short term flute. if you add all that money together,
you can probably buy an even better flute) but, if you have enough money for
split E, it's obviously better[;)] sorry, i talk toooooooooo much..

Split E vs donut
Okay personally I don't have any problem playing E'
' ' is there a higher E that split Es and donuts are for or what? Are those
kind of extras only for people who have problems reaching that E or are they
just making it easier? SHOULD I have a problem with that E lol?
