Post by louiseg0151 »

Hi, I'm new here and was just wondering what kind of flute you guys recommended, i am teaching myself but have has lessons and got up to a grade 3 level and would like a new flute as my fiance is having my current one (it's a Yamaha 211).

also what is the difference between all the different types of flute (eg: student flutes, Professional Flutes ect...)

Thanks in advance
Louise

See the FAQ:

It has lots of good info about picking a flute that is suitable for you.

It may not promptly fit your flute, but if you really like it, a good Technician can easily adjust them together.

Very brief Googling suggests between 500 to 600 for solid silver, 350 with solid silver head joint and plated body, 150 for plated.

I saw brief mention that they were made in Nogales. The flute version of the Mexiconn?
