Buying new piccolo

Post by PiccoloShorty »

I already have a piccolo, but it is a sterling silver armstrong, and after 4 years of playing and 2 years outside for marching band it is not the greatest. I am looking at buying a composite Gemeinhardt piccolo. Does anyone know what model would be best?
I was looking at the 4PSH but was wondering if there was a better model?

I have owned a few of them over the years (Gemeinhardt pics) and they have been fine for general use.

The Di Zhao piccolo is well worth its cost. I love it, and it's actually grenadilla- not composite- which is better for concert settings anyway IMO.
