A anything flute related for Christmas ?

Did you ask for or are you getting
anything flute related for Christmas ? I am buying myself a couple of song books
this weekend. My daughter asked for a couple of books and a new metronome that
she absolutely loved when she tried it out. We bought her flute teacher a CD and
I think I may pick the same one up for my daughter also. Kim

Recommendations accepted. Which CD?
Always looking for a good present for my daughter. I probably will get her some
sheet music, but looking for something fun that doesn't meam work.

Hi Penny, We bought Rhonda Larson's
Distant Mirrors for my daughters flute teacher. It had been recommended by Sir
James on his message board so we checked out the Midi on her website. She is
very good !! Kim

Well I was going to buy it from her
site but then I checked a local place that sells online and decided to go with
them instead. I had called around to local stores and no one had it on their
shelves yet. My daughter had her lesson tonight and I asked her teacher if she
had heard of Rhonda Larson...trying to make sure she didn't already have the CD
LOL. She appears to be well known in the music world here as my daughters
teacher has heard her perform here a a couple of times but didn't mention
having her CD's. Kim

i just bought a book it's called
"flute stories - 101 inspirational stories from the world's best flute players"
it's kinda like chicken noodle soup for the flute player's soul

it's fun
looking through it and seeing how many of the flutists i've met and studied
with. it's published by windplayer publications. if you have any problems
finding it let me know and i'll let you know where you can order a copy. the
book is 20 bucks. and it's great!! there's also some other flute books. "the
other flute" is by michel debost, there's "the flute book" by nancy toff which
goes over the history of the flute and gives an extensive repertoire list in the
back. there's a few other flute books but can't think of the titles. again the
store where i bought flute stories has a limited supply of some of these other
books. have a great holiday!!

I just got the first book you
mentioned for christmas this morning. I haven't read much, but it's very
good.
