Hello! I am having trouble deciding which flute I should buy. The main problem is that I am in a world class youth wind symphony (the CYWS) and several jazz ensembles as well as working on recording my own compositions. (I'm only 14!) I'm still playing a closed-hole, silver plated, dented up, piece of crap of a Gemeinhardt 2SP. Many judges I've met as well as my past flute teachers have been amazed at how I play such a flute. I am not trying to say I am some kind of prodigy, which I can assure you I am not, but I don't think just another student model flute will suffice. I have looked at Pearls and Muramatsu's and several other brands.
Some requirements I have are:
-Solid Silver Headjoint
-Open Hole
-B Foot
Things I would like to have are:
-C# Trill
I have picked out the following flutes:
Pearl Quantz Coda
Pearl Elegante 795
Yamaha 500 Series
It would be great if you please give me some insight about what you think of those flutes or other flutes that I should take a look at.
Thanks!

2. Check out our Flute FAQ http://www.fluteland.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=2411
3. The fact you are getting compliments like
means that you will sound good on almost any playable flute."Many judges I've met as well as my past flute teachers have been amazed at how I play such a flute."
4. Any of the flutes you picked will be fine. You will just have to try them out for yourself, and figure out which one you will like the best, and which one will help you grow further as a player. Keep in mind that if you get a flute with a decent mechanism, you can always change out the headjoint!
I hope this will help, and good luck!
