Problem with flute?

Post by Robynne Hood »

I got a Trevor And James coloured flute christmas gone. It worked fine apart from what I and my teacher believed at the time to be a sensetivity to temperature. The first time I took it into school for my lesson, it refused to play. We assumed it was because it was new and it wasn't used to temperature changes. However, about three months later, some keys just refused to work, no matter where I played it. It happens when I play D, E and F. I took it back to the shop about 2 months back, and they fixed it, but didn't say what was wrong with it. I thought it was fixed for good, but this morning it did it again! It's really frustrating, and I'd love to know if anyone has any idea whats wrong with it, and if I can fix it myself?

It's time for you to send your flute to a good technician. If there is some warranty involved, perhaps send it to the manufacturer is a solution, with a previous contact obviously.
I would not send it back to the place where they not only didn't fixed it properly but also didn't give you proper information about the problem in your flute.
