I left my Trevor James alto flute on a bus in Mexico. I tried to save money and got a terrible Orpheus (or something like that) which is almost useless. I'm so impressed by the comments about the Dimedici alto from this forum that I think I'll buy one. Do you have any suggestions as to where I could find a good or decent price on a used Dimedici alto with a curved head pretty quickly? Or some other good quality, reasonably priced, used flute?
Thanks,

Re: Good place to purchase a used Dimedici alto flute
I had to sell my Dimedici alto a couple of months ago to get some cash quickly (daughter sick). I sold it to the Flute Center of New York, and I believe they still have it. It is the top of the line, all silver, with a curved headjoint. It is a very very nice alto. I still miss it. If you get that one, you'll be getting a really nice instrument. If you do, please give it a good home.

I'm so sorry to hear about your flute. Your forum inspired me to get a diMedici.
I'll check with the flute center in New York. If I'm able to get it, it would have a very good home. Thanks for giving me the heads-up and I'll let you know if I'm ablle to get it.
Good luck and I hope you have another one very soon.

I've got a DiMedici Alto flute that I purchased from Fluteworld. They were wonderful to deal with and I absolutely LOVE my DiMedici Alto flute. (I also have a DiMedici C flute which is also a very nice instrument - it rivals my Yamaha 674 on some of the 3rd octave notes!

Congratulations! Yes, the staff at FluteWorld are really nice people -- that's where I bought my DiMedici originally. I hope you have many years of enjoyment with your new purchases!
