QUESTION?!?!?!?
It hasn't happened to me but then this has been
something I wanted to do for more than 20 years. It could be you really don't
want to play and maybe it's time to put it down for a while.

QUESTION?!?!?!?
did you just start playing?? I had that problem when i
first started playing.. it was because i wasn't used to blowing so much air.. i
think you need some time to get used to it, if that is the problem.. if not, i
have no clue

QUESTION?!?!?!?
Hey MaKayla, I got really light-headed the first few
days I played my flute. How long have you been playing? I'm still having
trouble getting this breathing thing down right. It'll take some time but as to
how MUCH time I don't know, I'm still trying to figure it out. Just keep
working, ok? Please don't give it up, the flute, in my opinion, is a very fun
instrument to play. I get all excited when I can finally play a piece of music
the way it's supposed to be played. Just keep up the good work, ok? You'll get
it![] [] []

QUESTION?!?!?!?
Hey folks, I didn't tell Makalya to stop for no
reason. I really think she's getting a headache because she really doesn't
like the flute, which I concluded from a previous post. Check out the
thread~~umm, whats so interesting about a flute?~~ MaKayla, maybe if your tried
music that your more interested in along with the music you need to play for
class you may enjoy it more. But if the headaches continue talk to your parents
about it.

QUESTION?!?!?!?
MaKayla~ I have read a couple of your previous posts
and even responded to a couple. I understand that you have come here in search
of ways to make your flute playing more enjoyable since you are being forced to
play it. I wish there was something that one of us could say to help you out but
I guess I am not sure what would help. It is hard to imagine a parent forcing
their child to play an instrument that they don't want to play. It just
shouldn't be that way. If it is causing you to get headaches I would think that
maybe another try at talking to your parents might be a good idea. Kim

parents dont care ---------------- [/quote] As a parent myself, I find this very
hard to believe. Talk to your parents as the grownup you want to be...they will
listen to you if you seriously talk to them. When you talk to them make sure
your not carrying a "chip" on your shoulder. BTW my son's 12 almost 13, I know
all about that "chip" lol

QUESTION?!?!?!?
You can definetly get light headed when you breath a
lot because the blood is umping faster to accomidate the amount of air being
inhaled and exhaled, I suggest working on long tones and trying sip
breathes(does anyone know what those are ill explain if you dont) and your
headaches should become less frequent

QUESTION?!?!?!?
I think I would go and talk to a school counselor if I
were in this situation. Situations like this can lead to big problems. Kim

agree with Kim...you need to talk to your school guidance counselor. That's
what they are there for and will help you. Go and make an appointment with them
tomorrow. Let us know who you make out.
