Does anyone know all of the Minor Scales, and Major Scales?
I have to write my next song in a minor key... any ideas of how to do, and what
to do?

As a potential music major, knowing your major and minor
scales might be a good idea. [:)] You might try searching the web for some
simple information about scales and theory.. Here are a few places I found:

http://www.teoria.com/reference/scales.htm

I have been told that Minors should be used in slower and
or sadder songs. In different songs that I have heard this theory seems to work.

For minor scales, on the major scales, start the scales
two notes down from the starting note and play the scale from then. That's a
minor scale. (ex. C major, go down to A and play C major notes starting with A.
That's A minor.) I learned a lot of theory on compositions on minor scales, but
long forgot since I haven't had theory lessons ever since I left junior high.
Best of luck on your composing!

You learn the majors your first year in music and your
minors in your second. Since you are a beginner it will get you ahead if you
open a beginner or intermediate book and check out the scales.

You might have to learn some theory on that, but I'm
don't suppose that it's too hard to write minor. I can't really say, though,
since I'm not much of a composer.
