Which flute to get?

Post by Superpirst »

So I'm ready to buy a professional flute.
My main choice is a muramatsu ex which i played on a while ago that was a friend.

I Order 6 instrument including the muramatsu ex but only 2 came.
I have a powell sonare Ps709 right now and it plays beaitfully.
I got a Amadeus flute AF900, but i don't really like it. I prefer the sonare over this.

I 4got the other 4 besides the muramatsu since that's the flute I really want to try out.

So i'm wondering if there are any other flutes i should try out before really deciding on a flute to get that would last me for the next few or maybe many years.

From my experiences, neither the Sonare nor the Amadeus are flutes that tend to last many years. The Muramatsu is definitely a better bang for your buck, so to speak.

Speaking of lastingness, I would definitely give Sankyo a try

When you said "professional" I thought you meant brands such as Brannen, Burkart, Powell, Nagahara etc.

Hi, I would suggest the Haynes classic series of flutes. I have played the q3 and q4 and loved them both! Good luck to you.

I would recommend the muramatsu, hands down, any day. but it's all about what suits you in the end. but if you want to go muramatsu, why go for the ex? why not go with a GX if not the DS? :)
