Very rusty and need to learn a song with no sheet music
Hi, I'm picking up a flute for the first time since grade school, and I am attempting to play a rather difficult solo for someone of my skill level. I'm recording a song for my mother's birthday next month (ha!) and unfortunately my ear isn't what it used to be. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to have the flute part to a song made into sheet music for me (a website, app, or person) quickly and preferably free. I have a feeling this is going to be difficult but I thought this would be a good place to start looking. Thank you!

You might try starting here: Free Flute Music

Lol. I've been looking around a bunch. There is no sheet music available for the song I'm trying to play. Thanks anyway

The problem with trying to find something like that for free is that it is almost surely still under copyright and not legally available except to buy it through a licensed publisher. That's one of the ways that professional musicians and songwriters earn their living. After all, they gotta eat like everyone else...

Best way to do it for free, is perhaps, to transcribe it yourself by ear -
using a chromatic tuner.
Play it in slow motion if you have the facility on your digital music player, and set the chromatic tuner to C. Chances are, the tune will be in A=440Hz, so you can try and work out the key signature and then copy the notes down to get the skeleton.
Good luck. Happy 30th to your mom lol

What is the song? Is it something well known that perhaps you can play from a piece of music from another C instrument?
