What a great website !! I just bought my first flute 2 days ago
and it''s wonderful to enter into another whole new world - music. I used to
play the piano when I was a child so it is not that difficult to try and "pick
up" where I left off as far as reading music goes. To everyone else who is older
and starting off "Good Luck".[:)]

Good Luck to you too! I just started teching myself flute and
piccolo a coupe months ago - I'm 54. I played trumpet from the ages of 10 - 18
and I'm really enjoying playing the flute. Gerry G

Nikki, it is a good website isn't it, and I've found the advice
very helpful. I'm new at flute too. Three days old. Teaching myself. Having a

Welcome from another recent member. I've been learning for a
little over a month now and from scratch- I couldn't even read music. A steep
uphill climb but fun.
