I have seen the Lyric but didn't play it,
seems like its well made. The Sonare I have played and its headjoint is very
high quality for the flutes price. They have 3 models and the body which is not
made by Powell is out sourced to China on the cheaper model and Taiwan on the
more expensive model. The headjoint is easyblowing and gives the strong and big
sound of Powell. I dont think the body has been around long enough to be sure
how it will hold up. Definetly two flute makers worth a test in that middle
price range below the top flutes high price tags.
