Hi,
I was just wondering if you ever had problems boarding an airplane with the flute, in particular because of the cleaning rod?
Thanks.

Nope. Never had a problem with taking a flute on the plane.
Re: Travelling with the flute
Not me either. I've been to USA and Korea without any problem, nor inside my country.

Thanks! I am glad to hear that.

Ditto for me, but one additional caution: When you go thru security, they may want you to remove the case from your carry ons. If they want to inspect your flute, allow them to do so, but you may want to offer to show them how to properly open the case. I've heard of TSA agents opening the case upside down and allowing the flute to spill out with disastrous consequences!

Re: Travelling with the flute
I've never had any issues whatsoever. I just leave it in my case and gigbag and send it through. One of my teachers however had hers opened and investigated because it was in a Wiseman case... looked like a pipe bomb to them I guess.

Yes, I have heard of similar cases too (where they open the case upside down)! Better do it myself!
