How to Clean Muramatsu Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

Post by ohkhi »

Hi everybody! This is my first post - I have a question about my Muramatsu cleaning cloth. It is a maroon-ish red and is used for the outside of my flute. I was wondering how/how often I am supposed to clean it. Thanks!

I've just thrown them in the wash as needed, you know, when the dirt starts to accumulate. I still have microfiber cloths (called ranger rags in the Army) that are still effective after 20 years of use. Here is a reference: http://www.wikihow.com/Clean-Microfiber

I have a Muramatsu and mine came with a yellow microfiber cleaning cloth. After 18 years, mine is only showing a little bit of discoloration in a few spots. Unless you make a habit of playing your flute without washing your hands after you change the oil on your car, it probably won't get very dirty... :D
