Suggest 1 hour study

Post by Mario »

How can I improve the speed by studying an hour a day?
I have been playing as a self-taught for 20 years with taffanel gaubert hughes and similar.
Can you suggest study like andersen or method like wye or scale and arpeggio.
In conclusion could you suggest 1 hour daily runtime?

Thanks

Are you using a metronome while you practice? Start as slowly as necessary to play the notes correctly. Play it correctly 5 times at that speed or repeat. Then increase the metronome to the next higher speed and play it correctly 5 times. Repeat this process until you get to the desired speed.

I have found that using a metronome has drastically helped. I got hold of Louis Moyse la grande velocite yesterday and I noticed a difference after just 15 or 20 mins.
I got it off the back of hearing about Marcel Moyse's daily exercises, so I imagine that one is better but I am happy with the one I have too!
