Molly on the Shore

Post by notootsieno »

Has anyone ever heard/played this song? It''s by
Percy Grainger. My sister''s band (the high school wind ensemble) has played
it many times and I never get tired of it! To me, it basically stands for the
true meaning of band and music, and I just get this happy feeling whenever I
listen to it. I know that sounds kind of corny, lol, but I really like it!
Anybody else?

I've heard Molly on the Shore (I think James Galway
has an album out with it) and it sounds like a fun song, though I've never
played it before.[:)] We play a lot of Percy Grainger songs in my band
though...he's my director's #1 favorite composer.
Haha, this one is my favorite:
