I've been looking online at professional level flutes. Unfortunately, living in Germany and not speaking the language well, and not having a large selection of music stores, I don't have a way to go from shop to shop trying instruments.
I think I've narrowed my choices to Pearl Cantabile with some of the extras, Yamaha 894, or a Muramatsu GXB with the trimmings added. These are all in the same price range. If anyone has anything on the models, or the makers that may help my choice, I'd love some feedback.
In college, I did get to play my teachers Muramatsu for finals once, and I fell in love with it, but that was 14 years ago. I still only had my student model Gemeinhart at that time. I've had a Sanyko Prima Etude for 13 years now, and I'm ready for something more.
Looking to upgrade to a new flute

I play a Pearl Maesta, and love it. The Cantabile is a little different (different key design for one), but I have liked the ones I have played. I also like Muramatsu (which have changed over the years - for the better I believe). I would highly recommend trying to get one of each shipped to you for trial if at all possible. That way, you can make the decission beased on how the flutes sound and feel.
